Free Bookkeeping Review

Find out whether your books are helping you run the business.

Reconciled accounts and clean-looking reports are only the baseline. Legacy Operating Partners will take a practical look at whether your books reliably reflect how the business is functioning—and whether the information is useful for understanding margins, costs, cash flow, and operating performance.

Reconciliations & balance-sheet sanity check
Payroll, liabilities & owner transactions
AR/AP, undeposited funds & stale balances
Intercompany activity & chart-of-accounts issues
Whether gross profit and operating costs are meaningfully defined
Whether the books actually help explain how the business is performing
You keep control of your credentials. For QuickBooks Online, accountant or user access is preferred. We will never ask you to email banking passwords or share your bank login credentials.

What Happens Next

A useful review requires enough information to see what is actually happening.

We keep the first step simple, then use the level of access that makes sense for your business.

01

Request the review.

Give us basic contact information and tell us what, if anything, has you concerned.

02

Coordinate access.

For QuickBooks Online, accountant/user access gives us the best view. If you prefer, we can begin with financial statements and reconciliation reports.

03

We look for what matters.

We review the structure, balances, reconciliations, reporting, gross-profit logic, and obvious workflow or accounting issues—with an operator's perspective.

04

You get a straight answer.

We explain what looks good, what deserves attention, and what we would do first. If we can help, we'll tell you how. If not, we'll tell you that too.

What We May Need

The better the access, the better the review.

A P&L and balance sheet can reveal obvious problems, but they do not always show whether accounts reconcile, how transactions were handled, or whether the underlying workflow is producing reliable information.

Preferred

QuickBooks Online accountant/user access or equivalent access to your accounting platform.

Good starting point

Recent P&L, balance sheet, bank and credit-card reconciliation reports, AR/AP aging if applicable, and payroll reports when relevant.

Never send us your banking password or primary login credentials.

A Good Fit If...

You want the books to do more than satisfy the accountant.

This review is especially useful if you inherited a bookkeeping process you do not fully trust, have fallen behind, are seeing balances that do not make sense, cannot tell what your real gross profit is, are preparing for taxes, financing or a transaction, or simply want an experienced second set of eyes.

The goal is not to manufacture a cleanup project. It is to determine whether the accounting record is reliable enough to help you understand and operate the business. If it is, that is a perfectly useful answer.
